BACKFISCH

Backfisch captures the spaces and moments young people have claimed to be theirs, with themes of identity and expression in an age of becoming. Additionally, the series reflects my introspection of my own participation in them. These images are a window into the world that I am on the edge of leaving, spaces that I share with now, but will soon be left behind as I age and shift into an observer role. Celebrating the cultural impact of young people, this work is both a record of the present and a reflection on how quickly it all fades.
